Exams:

The exams will take place on the following dates and times:

  • 28.10.2016, 16:00, HS 16.
  • 20.01.2017, 16:00, HS 16.

Please make a note of the dates as no alternative dates will be offered.


Assessment:

The assessment is based on two written exams where both exams contribute 25 points to the final grade.
In each exam all by then discussed topics are relevant, whereas the main focus will be on the recently discussed topics and arithmetic examples.
The minimum requirement for a positive graduation is 50 percent, or 25 points. The grades are distributed in the following way:

  • less than 25 points: 5
  • 25 - 32 points: 4
  • 33 - 39 points: 3
  • 40 - 45 points: 2
  • 46 - 50 points: 1

Class attendance: In general attendance is compulsory. However students are allowed to miss no more than 50% of the lecture.


Content:

The course is base on the lecture International Industrial Management I. The main goal is to deepend the theoretical knowledge and to apply the theories by using sample calculations and arithmetic examples.

The main topics to be discussed are:

  • Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Location Allocation
  • Cost Structures & Strategic Cost Analysis
  • Production & Inventory Management
  • Maintenance Management
  • Long Term Contracts
